Shan Achar Ghost Masala  - 50g

 Here is a recipe for Shan Achar Ghosht, a popular Pakistani dish:


  • 500g boneless mutton, cubed
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, chopped
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Shan Achar Gosht Masala (available at Pakistani grocery stores)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish


  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pot or pan on medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the cubed mutton and cook until it changes color and is no longer pink.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, green chilies, Shan Achar Gosht Masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
  6. Cover the pot and let the meat cook on low heat until it becomes tender, stirring occasionally. If needed, add a little water to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  7. Once the meat is tender, add the yogurt and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
