Shan Korma Masala 50gm

Al Rawabi Yoghurt Plain Full Fat - 500gm

Certainly! Here's a recipe for Shan Korma, a popular Pakistani dish known for its rich and creamy sauce:

  • 500g meat (chicken, beef, or lamb), bone-in or boneless, cut into small pieces
  • 4 tbsp cooking oil or ghee
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2-3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp Shan Korma Masala (available at Pakistani or Indian grocery stores)
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts or almonds, soaked in water for 30 minutes and ground to a paste
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a large pot on medium-high heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced onions and fry until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste. Stir well.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  5. Add the meat pieces to the pot and stir-fry on high heat until they change color.
  6. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorns, and Shan Korma Masala. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
  7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the meat simmer until fully cooked and tender, stirring occasionally. If needed, you can add a splash of water to prevent the meat from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  8. Add the ground cashew nut or almond paste and yogurt to the pot. Stir well.
  9. Add the fresh cream and salt to taste. Stir well to combine.
  10. Let the korma simmer on low heat for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  12. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice on the side.

Enjoy your rich and creamy Shan Korma!
